1947 Schwinn Majestic Men's Bicycle owned By Robert Cardwell

Robert Cardwell of Stoneville, NC purchased this 1947 Schwinn Majestic Bicycle in 2010 in a fair but rusted condition. It was then sent to Tony Pendergaph in Reidsville for a complete restoration. A tank and luggage rack were found on the internet and added. The bike now features all new paint with a proper paint scheme, new plating throughout where needed, new tires, and a rebuilt leather seat. As you can tell by the before and after photos below, it has gone from a diamond in the rough to a true showpiece. Click on the images below to see smaller views.

1962 Peterbuilt Model 334-DP owned by R&H Motor LInes Asheboro

R&H Motor Lines in Asheboro is a Trailer Rental facility ran by the Callicutt family. They own 14 tractors and over 2500 trailers for leasing. One of their prized nostalgic tractors is this 1962 Peterbuilt Model 334-DP.

R&H purchased this truck in 1987 in unrestored condition. They immediately began to disassemble the truck piece by piece. Many changes were made to this truck including Power Steering, Air Condition, the frame was stretched from a single axle to a tandem and many more This truck has an aluminum cab and R&H had all intentions of painting it when the truck was purchased, but later decided to buff out the cab and leave it in its' natural aluminum form. The sleeper was also added and this truck was completed in 1988. This 62' Pete' has a 335 Cummins Engine with a Eaton-Fuller 13 Speed Transmission. R&H shows this truck and  uses it in various local parades.

1947 FORD CUSTOM BUILT RAT ROD PICKUP BY MICHAEL MANUEL

Michael Manuel of Stoneville, NC custom built this awesome rat rod. This rat rod started out as a 1947 Ford Pickup. The new chassis was hand fabricated to fit the original truck body and painted a beautiful emerald green. The body and the vintage grill was painted a flat white to contrast the bright green chassis. The doors of the truck were lettered with Manuel's Garage which was carried on by Michael Manuel, the 3rd generation of Manuels to run the garage. The rat rod was finished off with a 1994 Ford 302 engine, a 5 speed transmission with a hand grenade shift knob and white wall tires. The total project took four years to build. The photos below show some of the steps of the project. The finished rat rod was well worth the work involved. Michael sold this a few years ago. Maybe we will see another project down the road. Michael Manuel is also the man behind the Aaron Manuel Memorial Cruise-In held in Stoneville the 3rd Friday of every month from April to September each year. The Cruise-In is in honor of Michael's dad Aaron. Proceeds go to a local cancer fund. Click on the images to see larger views.
